My lead routing is still me, manually, at 10pm

I’ve got a decent little set-up on paper — a digital product that sells quietly, and a retainer consulting arm that pays properly. But the routing is still me. I read every form submission, guess whether they’re product or consulting, and reply from my phone. I tried a Zap from the form that tags people based on a dropdown, but half of them pick the wrong option, so I don’t trust it. Last month I sent a consulting lead a product discount and a product buyer a discovery call link. That’s embarrassing to type. I need something I can set once and not babysit, but I don’t have a week to rebuild the site. What has actually worked for you when the leads overlap?

Before you rebuild anything, test whether the form is causing the wrong choice. I ran a test with no dropdown, just one free-text field: 'What are you hoping I can help with?' I routed on keywords from 50 old leads. It failed for me — my subscribers use vague words and I ended up checking everything again. But it told me my offer language was the problem, not the routing. Your product and retainer may overlap because the form forces a choice. Worth checking before you add more tooling.
