I run a small retainer setup for fitness clients and I'm onboarding people one at a time, mostly by hand. It works but I can't take on many more without it eating my week. Before I go changing things I want to know what the variable actually is — is it the intake, the first week, or the check-ins? For those of you running membership or community setups: what did you change in onboarding that moved retention, and what did it cost you in time? I'd rather hear the trade-off than a template.
