So I've been saying yes to small extra asks for months, then wondering where my Fridays went. For the next month I'm putting a 30-minute ceiling on anything outside the retainer, and quoting a fixed extension fee above that. I'm deliberately not changing my rates yet — one variable at a time. Will report back either way.
