Testing whether a paid legal newsletter can match my freelance income

I have been running the newsletter long enough to see that people will pay for it, which was the first surprise. The second, less welcome surprise is that producing it now takes most of the hours I used to bill. I am putting the numbers out here because I do not trust my own optimism when I am the only one looking at them.
