Event sponsorship poll — should I keep doing this?

Two of my last three speaking gigs came with a sponsor attached, and both times the money showed up late enough that I was covering flights on my own card. I keep saying yes because it fills the calendar, but the calendar isn't the problem. Late invoices are.
