What should you charge for a YouTube sponsorship?

Start from your average views, then adjust for your niche and the ad format. You get a rate per video, a range to negotiate within and a package total.

CPM starting points are assumptions, not a published benchmark. Replace them with quotes you have actually won.

Rate per video

$400

Negotiation range
$300 to $500
CPM used
$20 per 1,000 views
Package total
$400

Quote on views you can prove. Sponsors weigh audience fit and past results as well as raw views.

How it is calculated

Rate per video = average views / 1,000 x niche CPM x format multiplier (pre-roll x0.6, integration x1, dedicated video x1.8). Negotiation range = 75% to 125% of that rate. Package total = rate x number of videos.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

Is the CPM a published industry rate?

No. The niche CPMs are rounded starting assumptions so the maths has something to work with. Replace them with what your own sponsors have paid.

Should I charge on views or subscribers?

Views. Sponsors pay for people who actually watch, so average views per video is the steadier basis than subscriber count.

Can Gbeya track my sponsorship deals?

Yes. Gbeya includes a media kit, a sponsorship inbox and a deal pipeline, with a 0% fee on your own deals.
