Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how to control them.
Effective 2 July 2026 · Version 1.0 · Gbeya
This Cookie Policy explains how Gbeya (“Gbeya”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit gbeya.com, sign in, or use our platform and related services (the “Services”). Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. “Similar technologies” include things such as local storage, pixels, tags and software development kits (SDKs) that store or read information on your device. Together they let a site remember your actions and preferences over time. This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
1. How we use cookies
Gbeya is a multi-tenant “Creator Business OS” — each customer (a “Workspace”) receives its own workspace at {slug}.gbeya.com. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and secure, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. We keep the number of cookies we set to the minimum needed to run a reliable, secure platform, and we do not use cookies to sell your personal data.
2. Categories of cookies we use
We group the cookies and similar technologies we set into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary. Required for the Services to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. These include our authentication and session cookies —
gbeya_session, which keeps team and platform users signed in, andgbeya_customer, which keeps a Workspace’s end-customers signed in — together with security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF), maintain session integrity and support load balancing. Because they are essential, these cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure service and do not require consent. - Functional / preferences. Enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your chosen language, region, cookie choices or interface preferences. If you do not allow these, some features may not work as smoothly.
- Analytics / performance. Help us understand how visitors interact with the Services — for example which pages are visited and whether errors occur — using aggregated and pseudonymised information so we can measure and improve performance. Where required by law, we set these only with your consent.
3. First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are set by Gbeya directly (for example gbeya_session and gbeya_customer). Third-party cookies are set by other organisations that provide services on our behalf. In particular, our payment processor Stripe sets cookies during checkout to process payments securely and to help detect and prevent fraud; these are governed by Stripe’s own cookie and privacy notices.
Separately, individual Workspaces may deploy their own analytics or advertising pixels — such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), the Meta Pixel or the TikTok Pixel — on their own public pages at {slug}.gbeya.com. Any such tracking is chosen and controlled by that Workspace and is governed by the Workspace’s own cookie and privacy notice, not by this Policy or by Gbeya. If you have questions about tracking on a particular Workspace’s public pages, please contact that Workspace directly.
4. Cookies we set
The table below lists representative cookies we use. Exact names and durations may change as we improve the Services; this table is provided as a good-faith summary.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
gbeya_session | Strictly necessary — keeps team and platform users signed in to their Gbeya account. | 30 days |
gbeya_customer | Strictly necessary — keeps a Workspace’s end-customers signed in on that Workspace. | 30 days |
gbeya_csrf | Strictly necessary — security token that protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and maintains session integrity. | Session |
_gbeya_analytics | Analytics / performance — helps us measure aggregated, pseudonymised usage so we can improve the Services. | 13 months |
5. Managing and disabling cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, block and delete cookies through their settings. The steps vary by browser — look under “Privacy”, “Cookies” or “Site data”, or consult your browser’s help pages. You can usually set your browser to refuse third-party cookies, to warn you before a cookie is stored, or to clear cookies when you close the browser.
Please note that if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies — including gbeya_session, gbeya_customer and our security cookies — you will not be able to sign in or use core parts of the Services, and some features may not function correctly. Where we offer a cookie-preference control within the Services, you can also use it to accept or reject non-essential (functional and analytics) cookies.
6. Do Not Track & consent signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. There is no consistent industry standard for how DNT signals should be honoured, so we do not currently respond differently to DNT signals. Where required by law, we honour recognised opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) as a request to opt out of non-essential cookies, and we present a consent mechanism so you can accept or reject functional and analytics cookies. Your choices are remembered by a functional preferences cookie.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services. Please review this Policy periodically.
8. Contact us
